STORAGE
Up to 2 years and longer if kept dry, closed tightly and
stored in the original container. Do not expose to frost or temperatures over 30 °C!
SURFACE PREPARATION
Before the application, remove any debris from the surface with a broom or hand broom.
Cover all areas that should not be treated.
Osmo Paint Remover Gel is ready to use. Do not thin. Stir well before and during use as some separation in product may occur after some time.
Before treatment with Osmo Paint Remover Gel, test the subsurface. A trial application is absolutely.
APPLICATION
necessary! Suitability, reaction time and required application amount can be determined on representative trial area. Caution should be taken when used on veneers! Veneers may loosen from substrate.
METHODS OF APPLICATION
With a brush or Osmo Decking Cleaning Brush, apply product thick enough (approx. 200 ml/m2) on the dry surface to be cleaned, and allow to react for 60 minutes (but not longer than needed!).
Keep surface damp during reaction time (e.g. with a spray bottle). Afterwards scrub the surface with a lot of clear water along the wood grain. After drying, inspect the wood surface and repeat the process if necessary. Residues from Paint Remover Gel can have a negative influence on the drying and adhesive properties of subsequent coatings.
Therefore, it is absolutely essential to thoroughly rinse the surface after treatment. If the wood surface should be re-oiled, the surface must be neutralized and degreyed with Osmo Wood Reviver Power-Gel after drying.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
Immediately after use, with soap and water.
DRYING TIME
Allow to dry for at least 48 hours (normal climatic conditions, 23 °C/50 % rel. humidity) before applying a new surface finish. Lower temperatures and/or higher air humidity can increase the drying time. Ventilate well while drying.
COVERAGE
1 litre covers approx. 5 m2 with one application.
NOTE
Cover all areas that should not be treated, such as sensitive plants, porous substrates (e.g. lightly coloured pebble dashed concrete, render etc.), aluminium, zinc or lacquered surfaces. Have mop water ready to rinse any surfaces (e.g. aluminium, zinc or lacquered areas) that have accidentally come into contact with the gel. Please wear safety gloves and goggles.
